Do you know exactly what types of painkillers to take for headaches? (Acetaminophen, Aspirin, Caffeine)

When we have a headache, a body ache, or a cold, we quickly reach for a painkiller. Sometimes, instead of pills, there are also powders that are dissolved in water and taken. These usually contain two or three types of painkillers combined. Today, we are talking about one such popular combination of drugs. That is, a medicine that contains all three of these: Acetaminophen, Aspirin, and Caffeine.

What is this combination of medicines?

Simply put, this is a combination of three types of medicine. Each of them has a different function.

  • Acetaminophen: This is a pain and fever reducer, very similar to the well-known paracetamol.
  • Aspirin: This is also a medicine that reduces pain, fever, and swelling. It is called an NSAID (Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug).
  • Caffeine: The same caffeine found in tea and coffee. The caffeine is added here to enhance the effects of the other two painkillers, meaning it helps them work better.

When these three are combined, they can provide quick relief for minor aches and pains like headaches, body aches, and toothaches.
