Did your doctor prescribe you an intravenous antibiotic? It's probably called Ciprofloxacin. This is a very important medication that is often given in hospitals to treat bacterial infections. Simply put, Ciprofloxacin is a medicine used to treat infections caused by bacteria . It belongs to a class of antibiotics called quinolones. This medicine only targets bacteria.

This medicine is usually given into the body as a saline solution through a vein. That's why we call it Ciprofloxacin Injection.
