Menopause discomfort? Let's learn about the Estradiol Vaginal Ring

As you age, that is, as you approach menopause, are you tired of the sudden burning and heat (hot flashes), the constant discomfort that comes to your body? Do you also have problems like pain during sex, vaginal dryness? If so, this article will be very important for you. Today we will talk about a special medicine used for such problems. That is the Estradiol Vaginal Ring.

What is this Estradiol Vaginal Ring?

Simply put, it's a small, flexible ring that you insert inside your vagina. It works by releasing a hormone called estrogen into your body in a slow, controlled manner.

Now you may be wondering, "Why do I need estrogen?" It's simple. Menopause is a time when your body's natural production of the hormone estrogen decreases dramatically. This decrease in this hormone is what causes the aforementioned discomforts, such as burning, vaginal dryness, itching, and pain during sex. So, what this ring does is to restore the depleted estrogen to the body and control those discomforts. This is a type of hormone replacement therapy .

Things you need to tell your doctor before using this medicine

Before you start this treatment, it is extremely important to discuss your complete health history with your doctor. If any of the conditions in the table below apply to you, be sure to inform your doctor.
